
Dimapur, September 30: Nagaland on Wednesday reported 123 new COVID-19 cases taking the State’s tally to 6163. But with 5020 recoveries and 17 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1075.
Of the 123 new cases, 68 were detected in Mon, 37 in Dimapur, Kohima – 16 and Tuensang – 2.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1038 active cases are asymptomatic, 33 active cases are mild and 4 active cases are moderate.
Further, out of 6,163 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/Police – 2930, Returnees – 1497, Traced Contacts – 1394 and Frontline Workers – 342.
A total of 50,872 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 49,877 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 28,172 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 28,109 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 1,726 samples have been tested.
