Nagaland COVID-19 tally crosses 4000 mark


Dimapur, September 1: Nagaland on Tuesday reported 53 new COVID-19 positive cases taking the number of cases in the State to 4003.
Out of the 4003 positive cases, the total active cases are 793.
As per the severity of symptoms, 782 active cases are asymptomatic, 10 active cases are mild and 1 active case is moderate. Active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
Further, out of the 4003 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 1,703 cases from Armed Forces, 1,268 cases from returnees, 288 cases of frontline workers and 744 cases of traced contacts.
A total of 1,179 persons are presently under facility quarantine in the State. (Page News Service)
