Nagaland COVID-19 tally crosees 6000 mark

Dimapur, September 29: Nagaland COVID-19 tally crossed the 6000 mark to reach 6040 with the report of 83 new cases on Tuesday. But with 4942 recoveries and 16 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1037.
Of the 83 new cases, 77 were detected in Dimapur and 6 in Kohima.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1,002 active cases are asymptomatic, 28 active cases are mild, 5 active cases are moderate, 1 active case is severe and 1 active case is on ventilator.
Further, out of 6,040 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/Police – 2863, Returnees – 1488, Traced Contacts – 1347 and Frontline Workers – 342.
A total of 50,450 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 49,222 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 28,002 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 27,949 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 1,682 samples have been tested.
