Nagaland COVID-19 tally climbs to 644


Dimapur, July 7: Nagaland on Tuesday reported 19 fresh cases of COVID-19 taking the total cases of 644. But with 303 recoveries, the total active cases in the State are 341.
Of the 19 new cases, 10 were detected in Mon, 8 in Tuensang and 1 in Kohima.
As per the severity of symptoms, 338 active cases are asymptomatic and 2 active cases are mild, while one case is moderate.
Principal Home Secretary, Abhijit Sinha, IAS said all the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 hospitals.
A total of 3, 725 persons are presently under facility quarantine in Nagaland.
Meanwhile, the DC Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS informed that 10 returnees were tested COVID-19 positive by Truenat machine on July 3. Subsequent confirmatory testing of the same done on July 6 by RDRP GENE (SARS COV-2) confirmation tested 8 returnees positive.
With this, the total confirmed positive cases in the district is 35; out of which the active cases are 28 and seven recovered. (Page News Service)
