Nagaland COVID-19 tally climbs to 6244


Dimapur, October 1: Nagaland on Thursday reported 81 new cases of COVID-19 taking the tally to 6244. But with 5094 recoveries and 17 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1078.
Of the 81 new cases, 57 were detected in Dimapur, 20 in Kohima, 2 in Mokokchung and one each in Longleng and Mon.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1,044 active cases are asymptomatic, 32 active cases are mild and 2 active cases are moderate.
Further, out of 6,244 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/Police – 2974, Returnees – 1501, Traced Contacts – 1423 and Frontline Workers – 346.
A total of 51,305 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 50,330 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 28,395 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 28,319 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 1,777 samples have been tested.” (Page News Service)
