Nagaland COVID-19 tally climbs to 5957

Dimapur, September 28: Nagaland on Monday reported 11 new COVID-19 positive cases taking the total tally in the State to 5957. But with 4897 recoveries and 16 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1002.
Out of the 11 new cases, 6 were detected in Kohima, 4 in Tuensang and one in Dimapur.
As per the severity of symptoms, 964 active cases are asymptomatic, 30 active cases are mild, 7 active cases are moderate and 1 active case is on ventilator.
Further, out of the 5,957 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/Police – 2801, Returnees – 1482, Traced Contacts – 1334 and Frontline Workers – 340.
A total of 50,103 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 48,867 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 27,883 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 27,786 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 1,627 samples have been tested.
