Nagaland COVID-19 cases cross 200 mark


63 active cases in State; Mon op top with 23 cases
Dimapur, June 20: Nagaland reported 3 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday taking the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the State to 201.
However, with 13 more recoveries reported today, the number of active cases in the State is 63. The total COVID-19 recovered patients in Nagaland are 138.
As per the severity of symptoms, all the 63 active cases are asymptomatic, and they are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 hospitals, said an official bulletin.
Out of the 63 active cases, Mon has the highest number of active cases with 23, following by 17 in Dimapur, 16 in Kohima, 6 in Peren and one in Tuensang.
Of the 138 recovered case, Dimapur reported 112 recoveries, 19 in Kohima, 2 from Peren and 5 in Tuensang.
As of 4 pm on Saturday, a total of 8, 921 samples have been tested. Results of 7292 samples have been received and results of 1,629 samples are awaited.
In addition, a total of 2,196 samples have been tested by Truenat, out of which 23 samples tested positive and sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. Further 1,640 samples have tested negative and results of 531 samples are awaited.
A total 6,742 persons are presently under facility quarantine.
