DIMAPUR, AUGUST 12: A police officer of Dimapur, Temsuyangba Ao, has been awarded the Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation 2021.
Serving as an Unarmed Branch Sub Inspector (UBSI) at West Police Station, Dimapur, he was in the list of 152 winners declared by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday.
The medal was constituted in 2018, with the objective to promote high professional standards of investigation of crime and to recognise excellence in police investigation.
Among the 152 winners, 15 were from CBI, 11 each from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, 10 from UP, 9 from Kerala and Rajasthan, 8 are from Tamil Nadu, 7 from Bihar, 6 each from Gujarat, Karnataka and Delhi.
According to the Home Ministry, the list included 28 women police officers.
