Nagaland COVID-19 tally rises to 5768


Dimapur, September 25: Nagaland on Friday reported 38 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total cases in the State to 5768. But with 4637 recoveries and 16 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1083.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1,056 active cases are asymptomatic, 20 active cases are mild, 4 active cases are moderate, 2 active cases are severe and 1 active case is on ventilator.
Of the 38 new cases, 24 were detected in Dimapur, 12 in Kohima and one each in Mon and Wokha.
Further, out of the 5,768 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/Police – 2729, Returnees – 1464, Traced Contacts – 1239 and Frontline Workers – 336.
A total of 48,771 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 47,873 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 27,344 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 27,254 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test, 1,555 samples have been tested.
A total 498 persons are presently under facility quarantine in the State. (Page News Service)
