Dimapur, June 21: Nagaland joined the rest of the country in celebrating the 4th International Day of Yoga by holding a series of programmes by Government departments, security forces and educational institutions.
The main event was held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, where Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution C R Chaudhury along with Governor P B Acharya and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton performed Yoga to observe the day.
Union MoS, CR Chaudhary said Yoga is an art and science of healthy living which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body.
More than 1000 participants performed the 5 Yoga structure during the programme.
