Nagaland bags 20 medals in 6th NTWPC 2018

Kohima, May 5: Under the aegis of the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) 14 strong wrestlers against different categories participated in the 6th National Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Championship 2018 held at Shree Shiv Chatrapati Sports Complex, Pune, Maharastra from May 2 and successfully culminates today (5 May).
The NWA team participated in Belt Wrestling and MAS Wrestling and bags 20 medals comprises of 15 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze.
The following wrestlers won the medals in Belt Wrestling

In a significant outcome of the championship, NWA wrestler Kusayi Tsütso was awarded as the Best Junior Athlete of the championship. The team was led by Vekhozo, General Secretary NWA as Team Convener, Mitwatei Hebwang, Vice President NWAS as Co-Convener and International Bronze Medallist as the Technical Staff. The NWA team will reach Dimapur by May 9 in the evening.
Meanwhile, the incumbent Vice President, Musonyi Domeh was elected as the Vice President of All India Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Federation (AITWPF) held on May 4 at Pune, Maharastra.
