Nagaland all set to host SACC & 56th Nat’l Cross Country C’ships

Dimapur, March 21: Nagaland is all set to host the South Asian Cross Country Championship and 56th National Cross Country Championship slated to be held at Kohima on March 26.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan IAS convened a meeting of the Reception Committee today in the conference Hall of Nagaland Bamboo Resource Center, and briefed the Committee members about the upcoming event.
Rajesh informed that the main task of the Reception Committee would be to receive the participants, VVIPs, and officials and connect them through their respective Liason officers ( LO) who will be coming from Kohima. He also informed that participants including international athletes and coaches, media personnel, VVIPs, and domestic coaches would start arriving from March 23.
Dimapur Airport and Dimapur Railway station which will be the arrival points of the participants would be manned by different teams to facilitate the participants and guests.
The Team at the Railway station will function 24×7 on rotation basis, the time slots of which will be notified at the earliest to the concern officers.
In the meeting, it was decided that First Aid team with Ambulance will be put in place at both the arrival points. In case of emergency situation, the participants can be taken to District Hospital Dimapur or CIHSR.
Rajesh also said that a Control Room would be set up at the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Center, for monitoring the teams placed at the arrival points and also for coordinating with the various departments.
DC Dimapur also requested the Railway and Airport Authority Dimapur for establishing the reception desks and DPRO Dimapur for announcements.
Rajesh sought the cooperation of all concern while stating that it was a prestige symbol for the Government of Nagaland hosting such an event for the first time. Let us all give our best for the success of the event, he added.

Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Rothihu Tetso has notified partial modification of work distribution in regard to nodal officers during the conduct of South Asians Cross Country Championship and 56th National Cross Country Championship to be held at Kohima.
As per the new list, overall in-charge for reception and security: Temsuchuba Changkija, ADCP (TRF/Pro); airport in-charge: Ketoukhrielie Metha, ACP (SB/Crime) assisted by UBSI Endilong Longkumer of CMD and ABSIB Sakuakum Ao of traffic Control CMD; railway station in-charge: Arenth Ngullie, ACP(HQ) assisted by UBI Zubenthung of GRPS, UBSI Khuovitho Pochury of Traffic Control Dmr, ASI Mezhuvito Angami of East PS, UBSI I Lanuyanger Ao of GRPS and ASI P Senchibemo Kikon of GPRS; joint control room: UBSI, Inaka Kinny of DPR PS; security escort: ABI Solo Kath SM RHQ and L Rhonbemo Kikon, MTI; overall in-charge: ADCP (TRF/Pro) shall co-op members as per requirement.
