DIMAPUR, JANUARY 27: Another batch of healthcare workers, 570 this time around, was administered with Covishield vaccine on Wednesday in Nagaland.
A press release from the Health Department informed that the vaccination was conducted in all the districts and there were no reports of any adverse effects.
After Wednesday’s exercise, the total number of healthcare workers to receive the vaccine in Nagaland rose to 5773.
In view of the National Immunization Day for Polio, COVID-19 vaccination sessions would not be conducted in the coming Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the department informed.
“The Covishield vaccine has gone through all phases of clinical trials and it has been found to be safe for use in general population. Till date, 20,29,480 healthcare workers have been vaccinated across the country by Covishield and Covaxin vaccines,” it stated.
