Dimapur, May 7: The Naga Hoho has expressed grief at the demise of Dr Andrew Clark, one of the prominent members of the Quakers on April 23 last at his home after a brief illness.
On behalf of Naga people, the Naga Hoho conveyed deepest condolences to Dr Andrew Clark’s family and the members of Quakers at this difficult time.
The Hoho recalled Andrew Clark and his enthusiasm for the Nagas on several occasions and said he was a person who strongly advocated unity and reconciliation among various Naga armed groups.
The Hoho mentioned that Andrew Clark keenly initiated an informal dialogue for peace and reconciliation over dinner hosted by the Naga Conciliation Group; Quaker Peace and Social Witness at a Friend’s House London on October 19, 2011 during the visit of Naga Civil Society groups led by Naga Hoho to Belfast and London.
