Dimapur, April 5: In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Naga Council Dimapur has appealed to the general public to comply with directives being issued by the state Government and district administration from time to time.
Observing that some people are not keeping track of all the directives issued by the authorities or not following them strictly, the NCD said it is mandatory for the general public to make sure that directives are observed for their own benefit.
Stating that shops dealing with essential commodities and vegetables would be opened from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from April 6, while public places would remain closed, the NCD urged the public to buy essential commodities only from their respective colonies or village shops and to remember to maintain social distancing while shopping.
While appreciating the hard work and sacrifices discharged by medical fraternity and police personnel during this unprecedented and unsetting period, the NCD said it is aggrieved at the assault on a doctor by special task force personnel on the night of April 3.
It hoped and prayed that such untoward incident do not recur again particularly between medical and police who are virtually running the county, during this hour with their painstaking hearts. (Page News Service)
