NABA introduction and aainball training held in Kohima


Kohima, December 8: The introductory programme of Nagaland Aainball Association (NABA) cum commencement of Aainball Sport training was held today at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima.
Speaking on the occasion, founder president of Aainball Federation of India, Pratap Singh said the newly developed sports is making the sensation across the world and despite being just a decade almost 40 countries are playing it.
It is based on different colours and skill while also having the combination of mental alertness and physical fitness, he said.
He also asserted that India is already doing very well and Nagas and NE people who are already talented in sports have much potential to be in the national team.
Aainball is an opportunity for the Naga people to bring national and international medals, he said.
He also informed that the AFI in collaboration with NABA would make the sport part of the Hornbill festival in the next edition.
Singh also handed the official appointment letters to the new team of NABA officials.
As the newly appointed president of NABA, MLA and Leader of NPF Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo Nienu asserted to work hard to promote the game in the state to the highest level with the guidance of AFI.
He said Aainball was introduced in the year 2020 while the official team was set up now.
Chaired by NABA general secretary Avizo Nienu the programme commenced with Associate Pastor of Soul Harvest Church of the Living God, Kohima, Kezevituo Pucho pronouncing invocation, NABA vice president & DCP Dimapur Vesupra Kezo delivered the welcome address, NABA coach Aron Kiba tendered the vote of thanks while Pastor of Flames of Fire Baptist Church Kohima Ruokuolhoulie Solo offered benediction. Avibou Belho enthralled the gathering with a special number.
