Dimapur, April 14: The general meeting of Medziphema Town Youth Organisation (MTYO) was held on April 14 at CYO Hall, Medziphema Town, which was attended by youths from all Wards/ colonies.
The meeting reaffirmed that illegal immigrants or Miya people would not be allowed to reside in the jurisdiction of Medziphema Town which is in reference to the resolution passed earlier in September 2006.
It also resolved that no outsiders would be allowed to interfere or mediate in the internal affairs of the youths that pertain to Medziphema Town.
MTYO would continue to check liquor outlets, drug peddlers, etc. in accordance to its rules and regulations and also, sternly deal with anyone who creates disturbances under the influence of intoxicants.
Apart from discussion of all other matters, many shared their views and opinions during the open discussion of agendas where Mhasilevi Kuotsu, General Secretary, MTYO, concluded the session requesting youth officials of different wards to communicate necessary information and exercise the resolutions accordingly.
The meeting was presided by Asazo Talie, President, MTYO, who appealed everyone to co-operate and sacrifice for the welfare of the town.
The house also acknowledged the contribution of all well-wishers who have helped the youths throughout the years in different ways, be it financially, morally or materially and further decided to organise another get-together of all the youths someday. (Page News Service)
