Dimapur, September 13: The Medziphema Town Mechü Krotho (MTMK) convened a meeting with all different Tribal unions of Medziphema Town at CYO Hall, Medziphema, on September 11 and discussed the crucial issue on shifting of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office located at Dimapur to the new complex at Chümoukedima.
The house dwelt on the pros and cons of shifting to the new site which included reasons such as traffic congestion, infrastructures, office complex and residences for staff, etc. All the tribal units of Medziphema Town expressed solidarity to the proposed move for shifting of the said office to the new site at Chümoukedima.
The house further questioned the motive of the government for its reluctance to the proposal of shifting the same which had been widely publicized for quite a long time now.
The meeting was chaired by Akhoto Kuotsu, President, MTMK, where at least two representatives each from all the tribal unions participated in the meeting. (Page News Service)
