MSTK multipurpose building inaugurated in Kohima

KOHIMA, JUNE 12: Ex-President Mopungchuket Senso Telongjen Kohima (MSTK) T. Watilemba Jamir inaugurated multipurpose building (Aotemulung Kilem) at Agri Farm colony, Kohima on June 11. The dedicatory prayer of the building was pronounced by Pastor Mopungchuket Baptist Arogo, Rev. Jongpong.
Exhorting the gathering, Principal Secretary, Bendangkokba, IAS (Retd.) thanked the building committee, Mopungchuket members and well wishers for the successful construction of the multipurpose building and hopped that the building will be used judiciously. Stating that despite the lack of funds during the initial stage of construction, he lauded the zeal of the members for completion of the building by quoting “where there is a will there is a way”.
Thanking God for guidance during the construction without any untoward incident, Bendangkokba said that despite individual shortcomings there is strength in unity. He therefore urged to seek God and uphold unity for prosperity of the Mopungchuket community.
Pointing out the alarming rate of unemployment in the state, Bendangkokba further advised parents and youths to be good in at least one profession or trade for sustainable livelihood.
Presenting technical report, Er. Nungshiakum Lemtur said that the construction of the building started in 19 February 2019 and completed in around 3 years 3 months at a cost of Rs. 3.5 crore. He said that the multipurpose building was built in the land measuring around 13,307 square feet.
Lemtur said the building has two basement and four floors with terrace. He said that the building consist of 2 bhk flats, offices and conference hall.
Lemtur expressed gratitude to all the contributors in constructing the building despite facing challenges of covid-19 pandemic and rise of oil and material cost.
Presenting report of construction committee, Tajenlemba Aier said that the land was bought in 2007 and approval to start construction was made during general meeting in 2018. He informed that the details of the construction will be published as souvenir. Words of gratitude were delivered by representatives from Mopungchuket Senso Mungdang, Mopungchuket Village Council, Mopungchuket Senso Telongjem Dimapur, Mopungchuket Senso Telongjem Mokokchung and Mopungchuket Bendangali Union.
The gathering was enthralled through a song by Mopungchuket Ait Laishir Telongem Kohima, while Ao Temelongtsur Telongjem Union Kohima felicitated the members of building committee and MSTK members.
Welcome address was delivered by President MSTK, Nungsangwapang while vote of thanks was delivered by Convenor Construction-cum-fund- raising committee, Imsünok Jamir. Invocation was pronounced by Home Evangelist KABA, Sentitemsü Longkumer, while Temjentila Jamir chaired the programme.
