MRVC: Over 1.85 lakhs  children vaccinated so far

Dimapur, October 11: A total of 1,85,481 children have been vaccinated till October 9 (Day-7) in the ongoing Measles Rubella vaccination campaign in Nagaland. The campaign was launched on October 3 last.
According to the State Department of Health & Family Welfare, a total of 1919 school sessions and 321 outreach sessions have been conducted in Nagaland till October 9 without any untoward incidents.
The department said it has been moving forward with the campaign despite various rumours against vaccination on social media. “We are determined to achieve the target set forth in the remaining 29 days of MRVC,” it said and appealed to all parents to cooperate and come forth to get all children between 9 months – 15 years to be immunized with MR vaccine and be protected with the life-threatening Measles and Rubella diseases.
Thanking all parents, children of the target groups, health workers development partners for their help in successfully vaccinating 1,85,481 children so far, the department also expressed gratitude to religious leader, organizations and individuals for coming out openly to dispel misinformation’s and doubts spread through various channels to protect our future generations.
