Mokokhung Police Family Welfare distributes sanitizers

Dimapur, April 2: The Mokokchung Police Family Welfare led by the wife of SP, Vishal, IPS, Priyanka Sengar, a charter accountant by profession mobilised wives of police officials and are voluntarily preparing sanitizers as per WHO standards to be distributed to police, administration and common people.
While talking to Nagaland Page, Mokokchung SP, Vishal IPS said that already 130 litres of sanitizers have been distributed, which was prepared by all the ladies involved and they are tirelessly working round the clock preparing hand sanitizers.
This is proving to be the shield in its fights against COVID-19, he opined.
“The efforts of our police family welfare team has enabled us to distribute sanitizers to our personnel”, Vishal IPS said and added that it was distributed to around 800 personnel and also to other agencies and civil society organizations working on the ground to contain the spread of the novel corona virus in the district.
Vishal revealed that the police family welfare team of Mokokchung are tirelessly preparing sanitizers in large quantities which can also be distributed to the needy people and express optimism that the social distancing have been well maintained in the district and a sense of preparation to fight the disease is taking place in the district on a war footing.
Vishal also expressed gratitude to all the Civil Society Organizations for extending their whole hearted support to both the police and district administration.
Meanwhile, the Mokokchung Police Family Welfare has donated 8 PPE suits, 40 face masks, 20 pairs of surgical hand gloves and 10 bottles (100) ML of hand sanitiser to 2nd NAP Unit Hospital, Alichen Quarantine Facility Centre, while 1000 face mask was donated to Mokokchung District administration.
Besides, the Mokokchung Police Family Welfare has donated 2460 face masks, 40 PPE suits with inner suits for medical persons, 40 pairs of surgical hand gloves, 1 litre of sodium hypochlorite disinfectant to Chief Medical Officer for the use of medical department, while 15 pieces of face mask and 10 pairs of surgical gloves were handed to the Food and Civil Supply officer.
As the distribution spree continued, the Mokokchung Police Family Welfare also donated 270 face masks for 18 wards under Mokokchung Town, 15 masks each for 18 wards.
The Ao Senden, the Ao students Conference (AKM) and Watsu Mongdang also received 35, 10 and 5 masks respectively. (Page News Service)
