MLAs seek early sanction of projects in Eastern Nagaland

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25: Eastern Nagaland legislators and DUDA officials have sought the intervention of DoNER Minister for early sanction of various proposals for development of Eastern Nagaland submitted to the DoNER Ministry.
Eastern Nagaland MLAs, who called on Union Minister for Ministry of DoNER, Culture & Tourism Mansukh Mandaviya today, also apprised Union Minister about the special economic package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Eastern Nagaland in 2018.

The delegation informed the Union Minister that project proposal is approved by multidisciplinary committee headed by Ministry of Home Affairs, and strongly appealed to the Union Minister to personally intervene and take up the matter for the interest of Eastern Nagaland development, informed press release issued by PRO (IPR), Nagaland House, New Delhi.
The Union Minister assured the delegation to take up the matter at the earliest in phased manner and asked the delegation to mention the top priority list for the first phase of the project proposal from the submitted list.

(Cont’d from Page 1) The Union Minister also mentioned that he will discuss with the Prime Minister and other line Ministries for early sanction.
Later in the day, the Eastern Nagaland delegation called on Union Minister for Law & Justice, Kiren Rijiju at his official residence, New Delhi, and briefed him about the Prime Minister special package for Eastern Nagaland area. They requested his kind intervene and support.

Rijiju responded positively and said he will meet the DoNER Minister and other colleague to support the project submitted in the Ministry of DoNER to get through on time, informed the release.
