Kohima, November 30: Naga People’s Front (NPF) MLA Khriehu Liezietsu felicitated the medal winners, coaches and team managers from Kohima Village under 10th Northern Anagmi-I Assembly Constituency in the just concluded 2nd North East Olympics Shillong at Hotel de Oriental Grand on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Liezietsu called on the players to carefully choose their sports to take up as a profession and aim to reach and excel at the international arena as well.

Former chairman of Kohima Village Council, Medoselhou Keretsü encouraged the players and medal winners to humble themselves before God for their achievements rather than seeking gratification.
Former KVC chairman Vilieo Rutsa apprised the players that an aimless sports person’s youth is as short lived as a rooster’s, as such one should be dedicated and committed in their field.
Neiketoulie Belho, winner of 3 gold medals and ‘Best Athlete Men’ title holder was awarded a cash award of Rs 1 lakh while other 18 players and coaches were also rewarded cash incentives.
Former KVC chairman and former NAPO president Atuolie Mepfhüo, former APO president Keneingunyü Sekhose, former KVC acting chairman Khriezothie Chielie, former President of T. Khel Union Thepfuvilie Suohu, Chairman L. Khel council Ayie Yhome and a host of dignitaries and well wishers graced the occasion.
Former president KVYO Ruokuo Kire chaired the programme while Seyiekruonuo Yhome enthralled the audience with a special number.
