“Take your job/profession as a mission- a mission to bring about change. 21st century teaching is different today as it was 30 years ago. Similarly, the children of today are also smart. Teaching if done with the help of technology will be joyful one,” she encouraged the teachers while also maintaining that as teachers they need to keep themselves updated with required information and give their best to the children.
As teachers, Sekhose said we need to take care of not only the cognitive abilities of the child but also their affective and psychomotor abilities/skills of the children if we are to make them, a socially acceptable citizen of tomorrow.
Exhorting the students, she called upon them to be focused in their studies, maintain discipline and work hard to compete with the rest of the world. She told the students that equipping themselves with only academic skills will not take them far.
