
KOHIMA, MARCH 22: A three-member panel, formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to oversee ENPO separate statehood demand, today met Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Government officials at Kohima today.
The team, headed by Advisor for MHA (Northeast) AK Mishra including Intelligence Bureau Joint Director Mandeep Singh Tuli and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Northeast Division Director AK Dhayani, arrived in Kohima this afternoon and met the Chief Minister at his residential office, source said.
The team also met officials of Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) and its statehood demand talk team.
ENPO sources said that the meeting with them was just ‘courtesy call’ as they were returning from Manipur and were here to meet the Chief Minister and State Government officials.
