Kohima, February 27: Former NWA Champion and Reigning NWA Open Champion Menuosetuo Yiese today emerged champion of the invitational NagaWrestleMania 8 – King Of The Ring Championship 2021 organized by Elite Entertainment Enterprise (3E) under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) at Naga Solidarity Park here.
The 22 year old wrestler from Kohima village standing at 6 feet and weighing 130 kg easily defeated former Angami Sports Association champion and current Nagaland Wrestling Association runners-up Kezhaseluo-O Pienyü in the final bout. Pienyü also hails from Kohima village.
Khezhavizo Thevo of Chedema Village bagged the third position while Seketukho Nipu of Sechü-Zubza won the fourth position.
Yiesie, the champion received cash Rs. 50,000 with Championship Belt, Pienyü as runner-up got Rs. 30,000, Thevo as third place winner got Rs. 15,000 and Nipu with fourth place got Rs. 10,000.
All 20 wrestlers from the Angami, Chakhesang and Zeliang tribes also got the participation citations.
