Dimapur, December 21: Nagaland lead Sikkim by 89 runs with 4 wickets in hand at stumps on Day-3 of the ongoing Men’s U-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy 2019-20 being played at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
Resuming from their overnight score of 221/7, Sikkim tailenders kept their composure to score 310, taking a crucial 30 runs first inning lead. For Sikkim, Parth made a well deserved century (110) and Md Shahbaz contributed 52.
Hopongkyu was the pick of Nagaland bowler taking 8 Sikkim wickets.
Coming out to bat, Nagaland U-23 batsmen gave away their wickets cheaply to be placed precariously at 119/7 at the end of the 3rd day’s play. Imlikaba top scored with 25.
In the first inning, Nagaland was bowled out for 280.
Men’s U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy
Meanwhile in the Men’s U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy 2019-20, Chandigarh took a huge 1st inning lead of 215 with 7 wickets in hand as the host were 378/4 at stumps on Day-2 at the GSSS, Sector 26, Chandigarh.
After bowling out Nagaland for 163, Chandigarh boys toyed with Nagaland bowlers as Anirudh made 109, Akshit scored 94 and Surya 60 runs.
On Day-3, Chandigarh is likely to go all out to make a big score in the morning session before putting Nagaland in to bat.
