Mega legal services camp conducted at Mkg


Dimapur, July 22: A mega legal services camp organized by Nagaland Legal Services Authority & Mokokchung District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Government departments, stake holders & NGOs was held at Imkongmeren Sports Complex Mokokchung under the theme “From Awareness to Empowerment”.
The camp was inaugurated by Justice Michael Zothankhuma, Judge, Guahati High Court. In his speech he appreciated and thanked the organizers for staging the mega camp in the district. He said access to justice is not confined to court only but the public also has to know their rights. Such programme connects directly the people and educates and empowers them in their entitlement of rights in different programmes and policies of the government. It also delivers public services to every door steps, he added.
Short speeches were also delivered by Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung Sachin Jaiswal IAS and Khape Koza, NJS, Principal District & Session Judge, Mokokchung & chairman MDLSA.
Deputy Commissioner in his speech thanked all the organizers and participants for staging the camp in a grand manner where problems were redressed and also different facilities and schemes of the Government were updated and shared. He also informed about the new website being created in his office and invited all the departments to upload their programme and schemes.
Khape Koza NJS Principal District & Session Judge, Mokokchung & Chairman MDLSA in his speech said that the camp is organized under the directive and initiative of the central government to uplift the people from poverty line and to empower the people with free legal Aid.
More than 30 departments, stake holders and NGOs participated and rendered their services in the camp. (Page News Service)
