Mega Art Festival held at Dimapur


Dimapur, June 12: The 2nd Mega Art Festival was organized by Chitrakala and Euro School of Fine art on June 9&10 at Kaalu Dutta Memorial Hall, Latika Complex, Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur. The programme was divided into two segments – art competition on the first day and art exhibition & award ceremony on the second day of the programme.
Transformation of a series of small things into visual expression was the main crux of the endeavor. The aim was to provide a platform for the budding artists to bring out their latent creativity.
The participants gave vent to their imagination and aesthetic exploration creating magical expressions on canvas. The occasion was graced by Lipok Pongen as chief guest and Mrs. Neena Dutta as the guest of honour.
The event saw an overwhelming response of more than 600 students from in and around Dimapur who paarticipated in the competition.
The award ceremony also included other performances like singing, dance and a special ramp walk by the students of St Mary’s Hr Sec School where the models were dressed in the costumes made out of waste materials like newspaper, poly bags etc.
