Dimapur, June 11: In connection with reports of issues at Yonglok after Assam Police removed the bamboo blockage in the Nagaland Assam border, the Longleng District administration and the police held a meeting with Phom People’s Council (PPC), Phom Students’ Conference (PSC) and Phomla Hoichen in the DC’s conference hall today.
Deputy Commissioner, M. Shayung Phom and Superintendent of Police, Yanithung Ezung appealed to the NGOs, civil societies and the public to maintain peace and tranquility in the border areas. The DC and SP Longleng also informed the NGOs about the positive responses of the DC and SP Sivasagar when they apprised the Assam counterparts to maintain peaceful law and order in the border and to prevent such incident in the future.
After lengthy discussion the DC and SP Longleng appealed to the NGOs to visit Yonglok to apprise the public to maintain peace and harmony in the area during such COVID-19 pandemic crisis. (Page News Service)
