Medical & Health camp held

Dimapur, January 4: As part of the ongoing 54th General Session cum Literary & Cultural programme of Yakor Students Union, Shamatore Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(North) conducted a Free Medical Camp at Yakor Village, Tuensang District wherein medical consultation and basic treatment was administered to 12 male 126 female and 51 children.
Interactive lectures on healthy living, hygiene, child care in tune with ‘Fit India Movement’ was also conducted. The event also witnessed various cultural and traditional presentations showcasing synergy and harmony between security forces and the local populace.
Meanwhile, Phek Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) provided medical assistance to Master Machimo, age 12 years of Avangkhu village who sustained cut injury to his left hand on January 4. The individual approached troops of Assam Rifles for first aid wherein four stitches were administered on the lacerated wound at Company Operating Base Mi Room.
