Dimapur, April 8: The Muslim Council Dimapur has filed an FIR against one Cedee Tamang for “trying to tarnish the image of MCD in social media (Facebook).”
In the FIR, the MCD alleged that Cedee Tamang spread “false propaganda” against the council in social media/Facebook group “The Naga Blog” stating that “MCD is harbouring illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.”
In the FB group, Cedee Tamang had allegedly posted that “MCD is safe haven of illegal Bangladeshi.”
The MCD said the council is a registered organization working hand in hand with the administration, police for the welfare of the district as well as the State.
“And at this time of pandemic crisis the said person is spreading the message of hatred against the MCD and the Muslim Community to create differences among the denizens of Dimapur. Our organization is busy for the needs of the crisis of the hour,” it stated in the FIR.
The MCD requested the Dimapur police to register a case against Cedee Tamang and book him under the provision of law. (Page News Service)
