Dimapur, May 11: Taking into consideration of the situation that might arise after the arrival of the stranded Muslims into Dimapur and Kohima from Assam and other parts of the country, Muslim Council Dimapur held consultation with the community elders, responsible Dimapur Masjid Committees and Kohima Jame Masjid Committee.
The MCD advised all stranded Muslims not to return to Nagaland for at least two months or till suc time the Government declare the situation as normal.
It informed that the proposed quarantine centre to be set up by the community in collaboration with the administration also stands cancelled as of now.
The MCD while sympathizing with the stranded members of the community and particularly with the students community stranded outside Nagaland, has informed them that the Council would try to help them out in any other ways or request the Government of Nagaland to extend help in need as most of them has registered their names with the MCD and the Kohima Jame Masjid Committee recently.
