MCCI asks traders not to pay illegal taxes/donation

Dimapur, December 1: Mon Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) has the entire business establishment in Mon Headquarter not to pay any illegal taxes/donation. It also asked them to inform about illegal donations, demands and extortion and report immediately to the MCCI office, Mon.
The MCCI said if any shop is found selling liquor, opium etc. then Mon Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) would not be held responsible for any consequences in the near future.
In a press release, MCCI president, N Ünok SN and general secretary, Kamnyi Konyak asked entire shop owners not to sell any kind of fire crackers as per the order from Deputy Commissioner Mon.
It also requested the shops to keep the surrounding clean with paint and decoration for upcoming Christmas and New Year on or before December 10.
Meanwhile, it informed that there would be Mass Social Work at Mon Town on December 5 and requested all shops to down their shutters from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. during mass social work hour without fail.
