Mass gatherings prohibited, violators will be penalised: DC Dimapur

DIMAPUR, JUNE 11: Citing a previous diktat issued on May 4, the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan has reiterated that all gatherings at the State Stadium, Dimapur are strictly prohibited during the period of lockdown.
In an order issued on Friday, the DC stated that it has come to the authorities’ notice that there have been mass gatherings of the public at State Stadium, despite the May 4 order prohibiting gatherings and closing down all places of mass gathering in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Further, it is reiterated that all places of mass gatherings in the district including sports stadiums/complexes are to remain closed and any person found violating this order will be liable to be prosecuted against as per the relevant sections of the law,” the DC warned.(Page News Service)
