Maruti Suzuki Arena launched in Kohima


Kohima, April 25: Bringing the world of Maruti Suzuki closer to the people of the State, the first of its kind world class Maruti Suzuki Arena was launched in Kohima today by Commercial Head (East) of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., Pankaj Prabhakar.
The retail showroom of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. located at Pezielietsie here is owned by Seyie Auto with Kuolachalie Seyie as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Addressing the glittering launching ceremony, Prabhakar said Seyie Auto has the first state of the art facilities in the North East region sporting modern looks and offering a warm, friendly and comfortable environment to the customers.
He said that Maruti Suzuki sells around 1.5 lakh cars per annum and holds more than 50% of the market share. General Secretary of Nagaland Baptist Church Council, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho gracing the occasion as special guest said that Naga people still have a long in the field of development, business and private sectors.
He regretted that even after five decades plus of the statehood, the state does not have functional industry to generate employment. “Hard work and deserving cash has not flowed into our land yet,” he said while remarking that business establishment like Maruti Suzuki Arena would give Nagas a ray of hope.
“It gives us hope because if we are sincere and honest there are companies and establishments like Maruti Suzuki willing to invest in our state,” he said.
CEO K Seyie pointed that Nagaland can only be developed through business, industries and farming. In this, he encouraged the youth to take up entrepreneurship for over all survival and economic uplift.
The dedicatory prayer for the Arena was offered by Senior Pastor of Faith Harvest Church Kohima, Rev Shan Kikon.
NPF President Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu, NDPP vice president Menuovilie Kesiezie and first class contractor K C Angami also attended the inaugural ceremony. (Page News Service)
