Dimapur, June 1: The District Task Force Dimapur has decided to reduce the market timing in Dimapur from 9 am to 2 pm instead of the present 9 am to 4 pm slot for the safety and interest of the public in general.
In a meeting held Monday, the DTF also resolved that for the time being, malls, showrooms, restaurants will remain completely closed, including take away restaurant services. Further, the timing for hardware shops to open will be from 6 am to 10 am.
With the maximum number of COVID-19 positive cases admitted at Dimapur COVID Hospital, the DTF Dimapur felt the urgent need to keep buffer stock of ventilators, monitors, regulators, and decided that DC Dimapur will write officially to the higher authority for action to be taken.
The meeting also decided that in case of emergency, Plan B will be for identification of alternative COVID-19 Hospital for Dimapur district, for which letter will be written to the Government at the earliest.
The members also deliberated on the need for installing Truenat machines at Dimapur for more testing in a day, as more special trains will be arriving this week and presently the samples from Dimapur are sent to Kohima and Dibrugarh. (Page News Service)
