
DIMAPUR, MAY 29: In a tragic accident, a man in his mid-50s on Monday lost his life after a truck ran over him at Kalibari Road, Dimapur.
According to locals at Kalibari Road, the person, identified as Sujay Das (popularly known as Bhola), a renowned social worker, lost balance of his 2-wheeler and fell on the road and a truck, which was behind him, ran him over. Reportedly, he was immediately rushed to Dimapur District Hospital but he could not survive.
The accident took place at around 4:30 p.m.
The victim was a resident of TK Angami Complex, Dimapur, and was associated with a number of organizations as executive member of the Ramakrishna Mission, executive member of Bharat Vikas Parishad, life member of the International Red Cross Society, Member of Dimapur Kalibari and some other socio cultural organizations.
NPF Minority wing condoles
Naga Peoples Front Minority Wing Central and Division has expressed grief over the tragic demise of Sujay Das, affectionately known as Bhola Da from Bengali community and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Stating that the tragic accident leading to the demise of Bhola is a great loss, the NPF Minority Wing shared their pain and stood in solidarity with the family members (Page News Service)
