Dimapur, April 7: Citing the ongoing NBSE exams, the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has appealed for better service from the Power Department as well as telecom service providers in Wokha District.
A press release from the union on Wednesday stated that irregular electricity supply affects preparation of students appearing HSLC and HSSLC examinations.
The union maintained that mere excuses “like power outages and load shedding” should not be provided anymore at this juncture.
“The LSU warns that the department should be in a position to provide stable power services so that our HSSLC/HSLC candidates should not be distracted as they need concentration and preparation for their ongoing further exams,” it stated.
The union warned that it would take its own course of action if the department fails to respond positively.
Also, the LSU flayed the telecom service providers in Wokha district and appealed them to provide better services “as the students needs to communicate and use internet for their exam queries as half of their academic session was conducted through online classes due to pandemic”.
It stated that mere assurances have become a tradition now, adding that it would no longer tolerate such assurances. The union warned the telecom services providers of “severe consequences” if they fail to provide quality network.
