LSU appeals to private educational institutions

Dimapur, June 1: The Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has appealed to all private educational institutions to make necessary concessions on the monthly tuition fees as the fees paid during the time of admission for the facilitation of extracurricular activities and computer education will not be availed by the students in view of the lockdwon.
In a release, LSU also requested the educators to consider the difficulties faced by section of students who do not have access to a stable internet connection and to come up with other methods by which such students may receive education. It also called upon the heads of all private institutions to ensure timely payment of salary to the educators.
The LSU further implored the student community to remain committed to their studies and utilize their time in acquiring more knowledge and skills. It also requested landlords to consider making concessions in house rents during the lockdown period.
The LSU extended solidarity to all those who are fighting against the pandemic and extended warm welcome to all returnees on behalf of the student community. (Page News Service)
