DIMAPUR, JULY 2: The Lotha Public Organisation (LPO) on Saturday maintained that the debacle in Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) started only after the interference of the otha Hoho.
In a statement, the LPO claimed that the Lotha Hoho had interfered by selecting without any authority an interim body of LBCA on March 18, 2022 despite the existence of a “legally constituted” body and pending case in the Kohima Bench of Gauhati High Court.
According to the Organisation, the present dispute is to displace the “officially elected LBCA” by an interim body. It stated that the Lotha Hoho team is exclusively responsible for the present dispute in LBCA.
It urged the State Home Department to review the Lotha Hoho memorandum dissolving LBCA “which is capricious and cannot stand the test of law”.
The Organisation also claimed that Lotha frontal bodies are nothing but “blatantly counterfeit pretence” while describing a recent press statement by the latter as a “farce and another sham attempt at damage control in the Lotha community”.
“Further LPO counter that the Lotha Hoho entrusting their frontal bodies to go for press publication was a clear indication of their self-styled manipulative ways of ruining Lotha people without common consensus of Lotha with their divisive ways”, the statement read.
It reiterated the call for resignation of Lotha Hoho leaders and pave way for new leadership “who can lead the Lotha community with a clear vision and God’s wisdom”.
