Dimapur, October 30: A Lotha general meeting convened by the Lotha Hoho at local ground, Wokha on Wednesday adopted a 3-point resolution addressing to all the Naga political negotiators and the Government of India to come to a peaceful solution at an early date.
The public general meeting attended by more than 5000 members from all over Nagaland resolved to stand by the decision/resolution of the 14 Naga Tribes of Nagaland that was adopted on 22nd October 2019 at Kohima. The resolution says the Lotha tribe does not object to the Framework Agreement between the GoI and the NSCN/GPRN and also on the Agreed Points between GoI and the Working Committee of the NNPGs.
The meeting also resolved that if any untoward incident occurs, on any Lotha Hoho member or Lotha individual, in connection with the Naga political solution, the Lotha general public, through Lotha Hoho, will initiate appropriate action against the individual/group responsible. “The family members of any individual involved in any untoward incident will also be held accountable.”
The meeting further resolved that Lotha area will not be used as a battleground/killing field for any individual/groups and warned that any individual/groups going against the wishes of the general public will face the action of the Lotha general public.
The meeting also denounced the “self styled leadership” of Sulanthung Humtsoe and his self created organization, and warned him to immediately stop his mischievous “anti Lotha activities.”
In the meeting Dimapur Lotha Hoho, Kohima Lotha Hoho and others collectively raised to support Naga political groups to come together under the negotiation in a peaceful manner as Nagas had already suffered for long.
The Framework agreement was delivered by Rev Dr. Tsanso President LBCA, while Thungjamo Erui, advisor Lotha Hoho delivered the preamble or Naga constitution (yezabo) of new Naga to the general public.
Earlier YL Jami IAS (Retd) highlighted the 14 tribes meetings, meeting with NSCN/NNPG and a meeting between Governor of Nagaland and LH regarding Lotha common interest for the younger generation.
