Dimapur, December 12: Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton graced the Lotha Catholic Union silver jubilee as special guest on December 12 at Don Bosco Parish, Wokha town.
The DyCM lauded the pioneers, the Parish fathers, sisters and all faithful believers for their achievement, adding that every jubilee is a blessing. Twenty five years is a glorious accomplishment and is a time to give thanks to God for His blessings while taking time to forgive each other, he said.
Patton also attributed the contribution of Catholic institutions for their painstaking efforts in raising the standards of education in the State, saying it is evident that many successful and influential personalities in the State are products of the same. While encouraging the students’ present, he assured that during his tenure if any of its members come out successful in IAS/ IPS through UPSC they will receive Rs 10 lakhs each, while those getting through NCS/ NPS in NPSC will receive Rs 5 lakhs each.
Earlier, the DyCM unveiled the jubilee monolith in presence of the Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima Diocese. They also planted saplings in commemoration of the silver jubilee. (Page News Service)
