DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 8: The Longleng District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, M Shayung Phom on February 6.
CMO Longleng, Dr. Obangjungla highlighted about the safety and efficacy of the Covid-19 vaccine and appealed to the members to sensitise the people and make them avail the vaccine provided by the Government.
She also informed that vaccine is given on phase manner, beginning with healthcare workers and frontline workers above 18 years of age after registration. For registration, she informed that one must submit their name and ID card for online registration in the portal site.
The Addl. Superintendent of Police, Longleng apprised the members regarding the meeting held with the Assam counterpart at Sivasagar for maintenance law and order in the border and for smooth conduct of forthcoming Assam election. He asserted that the meeting was fruitful and both sides agreed to extend full cooperation for peace and tranquillity in the border.
The Principal of JNV Tangha, Longleng, Mukul Talukdar shared the problems and grievances faced by the students and faculty of JNV due to scarcity of water. He informed that the JNV School is ready with all safety measures to reopen and sought the permission from the district administration. (Page News Service)
