Dimapur, January 4: In pursuance with the notification of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, the Longleng District COVID Vaccine Committee is hereby constituted to prepare, monitor and implement the Covid vaccine in the district. The members are Deputy Commissioner, Longleng–Chairman; District Immunization Officer–Member Secretary; Chief Medical Officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner, District Sports Officer, District Education Officer, Child Development and Protection officer i/c DPO, District Public Relation Officer, District Land Record Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Project Director, President, PPC, Phomla Hoichem, Phom Students conference, Executive Secretary, PBCA, Superintendent of Police, Longleng, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tamlu, Assistant Commandant V.G, and EAC, Sakshi, Bura Namsang, Yongnyah, Yachem as Members.
Meanwhile, an emergency meeting of the Longleng District Covid Vaccine Committee was held on December 22 at DC conference hall Longleng, to have a preliminary discussion about the Covid Vaccine which is anticipated to reach the country and state soon. The Chairman, M. Shayung Phom Deputy Commissioner Longleng briefed the house about the purpose of the meeting.
District immunization Officer gave an overall idea of the stages of immunization and how the covid vaccine should be carried in the district. He also highlighted the preparedness of the department in its logistics, transportation, storage etc and encouraged the members and line dependent to work together to achieve the mission in the district.
The meeting also decided that the Ongoing Head Count Survey by the H&FW department should be completed latest by 1st week of January and that no one should be left behind. The committee emphasised that the enumerators should be well trained and all the data be cross checked before the final publication. The public were also advice to give full cooperation to the department and encouraged to give accurate data as it will help us to immunized the entire citizens of the district.
All the departments were also advised to prepare mentally to participate in the immunization process and should be ready with manpower to support the committee as and when required.
