Dimapur, February 4: The Lotha Lower Range Public Organization (LLRPO) has appreciated the PDA Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Nephiu Rio and Deputy CM Y Patton, who also holds the PWD(R&B) portfolio, for proposing the Foothills Road to upgrade and rechristen it as Trans Nagaland Expressway, which awaits a formal declaration from New Delhi.
The road connecting from Tizit to Khelma, a link between the Eastern and Western Nagaland, will also be the biggest and longest within the state of Nagaland once the project is completed, it said in a release.
The LLRPO also lauded the effort of the Nagaland Foothills Road Co-ordination Committee (NFHRCC), which had initiated the project way back in 2013 and still spreading the same.
Stating that the proposed consultative meeting on February 5 at Kohima with all elected members along with the 11 tribal hobos initiated by the NFHRCC for better coordination and in making the FH road pliable while waiting for the project is the need of the hour, the LLRPO extended moral and prayer support to the noble endeavors and further urged the law makers to work harder in making the dreams of the entire Naga populace a reality.
