Dimapur, January 4: A library and gym was inaugurated at Songlhuh village on Friday.
A release issued by Richard Singson, youth and students union Songlhuh, informed that Songlhuh village was adopted an army officer (whose identity can’t be revealed due to security reasons and media policy).
The release said the officer created and dedicated a 746 books library, a subscription of two newspapers for one year, music speakers and basic weight equipments for gym.
The army officer inaugurated the library and gym on January 4 in presence of GBs, chairman, VDB secretary, youth & students body and around 100 villagers at Songlhuh village.
In his speech, the officer urged parents to encourage their children to learn and play with balance approach. GB, chairman and VDB secretary hailed the efforts of the officer, the release informed.
Later the army officer kicked off the inter ward sports meet.
