23rd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy
Kohima, September 27: Liangmai Football Club Viswemi Football Club won their respective matches to move ahead in the 23rd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy organised by Angami Students’ Union (ASU) at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima.
In the first match, Liangmai FC defeated KSC Chozuba by 2-0. Both the goals were scored by Ningtingbo (11) in the 26th and 50th minutes. He also received the man of the match award.
In the second match, Viswemi FC came from behind to comfortably won against 12 Tribes United FC by 5-1.
12 Tribe United FC scored first within the third minute through Pangkhah (9) while Kevithuto (7) scored the equalizer in the 11th minute for Viswemi FC to end the first half with 1-1.
However, after the lemon break, Viswemi came stronger and struck four goals with Kelengo (21) scoring two in 53rd & 57th minute while Tejongol (6) and Rukuvisal (9) scoring a goal each in 62nd and 72nd minute respectively.
