Dimapur, March 25: Livingstone Foundation International College conducted one day sports on March 25 on the theme “Expect the Best”, having Dr. Hitoka H. Sumi, Publisher and Chief editor of Dimapur Publishing Company as the Chief Guest.
Dr. Sumi expressed that “being a student is a wonderfully short, beautiful moment in one’s life”.
He encouraged the students that participation in sports will benefit one in many ways such as personality development, value of honesty, respect and dedication.
Dr. Sumi also noted that team work is the most important lesson one can learn through sports which in-turn would help one to socialize and value the company of one’s friends and family. He further encouraged students to unleash their full potential and to ‘think high not comparing one’s achievement with the success of others.
The sports kick started with taking oath lead by Amos P, convenor of sports meet and releasing balloons by the Chief Guest. The two teams, ‘Tokyo’ and ‘Berlin’ competed in various games such as badminton, carom, table tennis, basketball, etc. leading ‘Berlin team’ to be the overall champion.
The running trophy was given to the Berlin team. Hivika Yepthomi & Sorikumla were also declared as Mr. & Miss Fitness 2022 respectively. The sports meet was attended by all faculty staff and students of LFI College.
