Legislators visit Mt Tiyi Govt college

Dimapur, June 13: Advisor, Information Technology, Science & Technology, New & Renewable Energy and chairman DPDP Wokha, Mmhonlumo Kikon and MLA, Dr Chumben Murry visited Mt. Tiyi Government College and Dr Motsuo Memorial District Hospital on June 11.
The legislators inspected the college campus and had interaction with the college authority and faculty members on NAAC peer team visit, computers and library books.
Principal Dr Abeni Lotha, while interacting with the legislators, said that for academic excellence the college is pursuing its best to affiliate NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) so that the college can have privilege to tie-up with universities in other parts of India and abroad. She, however, lamented that the college is facing some difficulties due to lack of proper infrastructure, basic amenities and skill development of the students to achieved the target.
Adviser, Information Technology, Science & Technology, New & Renewable Energy and chairman DPDP Wokha, Mmhonlumo Kikon said that to achieve their goal he will extent full cooperation, and assured to provide computers to the college at the earliest.
MLA 38th Wokha A/C Dr Chumben Murry, while congratulating the college authority for producing excellent academic result, assured to extent all possible help in the days to come. Project Director, DRDA, Thungdeno Mozhui also assured to donate some books to the college library.
The legislators were accompanied by DC & chairman, Advisory Board, Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon IAS, DPO Mhonsao Ezung and Lotha HOHO chairman, Mhao Lotha. Later in the day the team also visited Dr Motsuo Memorial District Hospital and inspected the hospital and had interaction with the officers and staff. (Page News Service)
